About the role
You will be joining a very successful and well established Science department; we aim to provide students with a varied and stimulating curriculum that encourages inquisitive and independent thinkers. Our aim is not only to help students achieve great outcomes but to spark their interest and engagement so that they have the qualifications and desire to pursue further study in Science, and/or powerful knowledge to understand and question Science in their daily lives.
The Science Faculty is composed of an experienced, supportive and collaborative team of 13 teachers and 4 technicians. We have high standards of Teaching and Learning, subject knowledge and curriculum knowledge within our team. Outcomes at KS4 are very strong and as such we have strong numbers of students choosing to study A Level course in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. We also offer a Medical Science Diploma course at Post 16. There is the opportunity to teach A-level depending on experience. Your primary role will be to support and challenge all students to achieve their full potential and achieve academic success through strong classroom practice.
