About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Second in Charge of Photography with the passion and commitment to join our high achieving and successful staff team. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative teacher to lead the delivery of Photography at Ricards Lodge High School for September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a highly motivated and successful department. Photography is a popular subject within our arts provision at Key Stage 4 and 5. We run two Edexcel GCSE Photography groups in year 10 and in year 11 and at post-16 we run a BTEC Level 3 class in each year group. The successful applicant will be an inspirational teacher with the ability to plan and deliver outstanding lesson at KS4 and KS5. They will be comfortable with a broad range of Photography practice and will ideally have some knowledge in media and moving image production. They will be committed to promoting the highest standards, enjoy working as part of a creative team and be excited by the prospect of contributing to a dynamic and forward looking Media, Film and Photography department. Ricards Lodge High School is an outstanding, successful and vibrant multi-cultural comprehensive school for girls with a co-educational Sixth Form. We have high expectations of all our students and provide a dynamic and stimulating environment in which they can learn and develop as individuals.
