Ridgeway Education Trust (RET) is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior IT Technician to join our IT Services Team. This is a senior technical role with responsibility for providing advanced support, leading day‑to‑day technical activity at one or more schools, and supporting the effective delivery of IT services across the Trust. The successful candidate will act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, mentor IT Technicians and apprentices, and contribute to the planning and delivery of IT projects that support teaching, learning, and Trust operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to work confidently across multiple school sites. We are looking for an IT professional who: Has strong technical knowledge across a wide range of systems and infrastructure Is confident working independently and making sound technical decisions Enjoys supporting and mentoring colleagues Communicates clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders Is proactive in identifying improvements and maintaining reliable, secure IT systems Experience of working in an educational or multi-site environment is highly desirable. A UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is essential. The position is permanent, full time, 37 hours per week, all year round (excluding bank holidays and personal holiday allocation).
