We are looking for an Attendance Officer to support high levels of attendance and engagement at Bourne End Academy. Key responsibilities: Monitor and maintain accurate pupil attendance records in line with academy and statutory requirements. Identify patterns of absence, lateness and persistent absence, taking appropriate action to address concerns. Work closely with pupils, parents/carers and staff to promote excellent attendance and punctuality. Make timely contact with families regarding unexplained or concerning absences, including daily first-day calling. Liaise with pastoral teams, safeguarding staff and external agencies where attendance issues may be linked to wider concerns. Pay range: SCP 20-25 - £29,549.48 - £32,861.78 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year FTE - £32,597.00 - £36,363.00. Qualifications and Skills: GCSE Maths and English minimum Grade 4 or equivalent Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage attendance records accurately and efficiently Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage positively and professionally with pupils, parents/carers and staff Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and reporting information Ability to analyse attendance data and identify patterns and areas of concern What are we about?
