The Crescent Primary School Β· Croydon, London
We are looking to appoint a full-time class teacher from September 2026. The year group and key stage is negotiable depending on the successful candidate's experiences to date. We are, however, interested in hearing from candidates with KS2 experiences, especially in Year 5 or Year 6. The Crescent is a fantastic school to start your teaching career, or to further develop it and move into middle leadership roles within the school or wider academy trust. We have a proven track record of supporting numerous ECTs year on year, with incredible training options. We welcome applications from ECTs, as well as from experienced teachers. For ECTS, we offer strong support - an experienced mentor whom you will meet weekly during dedicated release time; an excellent training programme using materials from the ECF; regular observations of experienced colleagues, including visits to other schools. For experienced teachers, we offer subject specific training, access to NPQs and professional coaching to support wellbeing and workload. Please note that, although this is a role listed to start in the new academic year, our INSET days are on 27th and 28th August and the successful candidate will be required to attend. Visits can be arranged via the school office on 020 8684 8283. For applicants who wish to apply without a tour, for ease and speed, we may be able to offer tours on interview days and after the closing date. For experienced teachers who apply and who are required to provide contractual notice by 31st May, we can accommodate interviews ahead of this date, as long as applications are received before Wednesday 20th May. We are a 2-3 form entry school in the Selhurst area of Croydon, with an 'Enhanced Learning Provision' in the heart of a vibrant community.
