Be an excellent teacher demonstrating enthusiasm and a commitment to
education To have taught either A-Level Literature, A-Level Language or A-Level
Media for at least 2 years. Have experience of building and sustaining effective relationships with
colleagues Have experience of leading strategies with impact to improve the
progress of students post 16. Have experience of enriching the learning opportunities of students
beyond the classroom Have confidence and competence in using student achievement data
appropriately, to support students and therefore make timely interventions that
have a long-term impact Have the ability to hold honest, supportive and challenging
conversations Have knowledge and experience of recent relevant pedagogical developments Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills Have demonstrably high professional standards Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues within the English
Learning Area to ensure all students within the Academy receive outstanding
teaching Have a willingness to contribute and lead the CPD of colleagues
