Minibus Driver

Avon Valley Academy is looking for a confident and reliable Driver to cover morning minibus transport for its students. This is a fantastic, part-time opportunity to join our dedicated team and help get pupils safely to school. Contract: Fixed term (until 21st July 2027). Working Hours: Part time (10 hours per week, Monday to Friday-term time only, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training Days). Usual working hours will be 8am until 10am. Required: ASAP.  Avon Valley Academy is a thriving, co-educational school, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 16. The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving role is desirable, though full training will be provided.  We are looking for someone who:

Holds a full, clean driving licence and is prepared to drive a minibus; Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff and pupils; Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills; Can prioritise and schedule effectively and efficiently; Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent; Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative; Is aware of health and safety requirements; Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
