We are looking for a motivated and effective leader to: Support the Head of Maths to deliver an ambitious, coherent and sequenced Maths curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. Lead on the quality of teaching in specific year groups or topic areas; model high-quality lessons and deliver targeted coaching to colleagues. Lead on assessment classroom practice within the department: check-in strategies, formative feedback and approaches to identify and address misconceptions at the point of learning. Analyse departmental data for assigned cohorts and groups, using it to set short-term targets and evaluate the impact of interventions (including disadvantaged and SEND students). Contribute to CPD and induction for new and early-career staff; provide coaching and lesson support. Support departmental routines, behaviour expectations and the implementation of the school's marking and feedback policy. Represent the department at school events where required (open evenings, parents' evenings, transition activities).
