GANTON SCHOOL LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR x2 VACANCIES Grade & Scale point: 1, Scp 3 Salary: Β£24,796 FTE, Β£4,216 Actual, Β£12.85/hr Hours of work: 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12.00 β 1.30pm Contract: Permanent, Term time only (190 days per year) Start date: September 2026 Our Lunchtime Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment for our pupils during the lunchtime period. Working under the general direction of a Level 4 Teaching Assistant or Assistant Headteacher, you will supervise individuals and groups of children, support their well-being and promote positive interactions.

We operate across two sites (primary and secondary) and provide places for up to 180 pupils. We are well known for our innovative and pioneering approach, particularly in our joint provision for SLD Outreach and Post-16 programmes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
β’ Supervision of children throughout the midday lunch break.
β’ Helping with supervision in the dining hall, during the service of meals, ensuring good eating habits and table manners.
β’ Plan and deliver games with the children on the playground, encourage group play.
β’ To resolve any behavioural issues efficiently following the guidance of the senior leaders.
β’ Care for sick children and those with minor injuries/ailments, providing basic first aid treatment when required
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
β’ Experience working with children with varying ages and backgrounds
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
β’ Ability to organise activities that engage children
β’ The ability to work effectively as part of a team
β’ A first aid qualification or be willing to undertake training
β’ A knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
