Embsay CE Primary School General Teaching Assistant (GTA) Part Time, 10.5 hours per week, Term Time Only (plus 5 days) Grade CD, SCP3-6 Required from July 2026 Fixed Term to 23rd July 2027 We are proud to be a very welcoming, inclusive primary school at the heart of our community in the rural village of Embsay on the outskirts of Skipton. SIAMS inspection findings (November 2024) also recognised relationships as a significant strength of the school, highlighting a tangible culture of care where wellbeing and mental health are clearly prioritised The Role: We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. This could be working across the full phase (Early Years, KS1 and KS2) supporting in classes across school. The successful candidate will: Support the teacher in delivering high-quality lessons Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning Adapt support to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school and Trust policies Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom organisation Observe, monitor and record pupil progress Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment We Are Looking for Someone Who: Has experience working with children Shows empathy and understanding of the Christian ethos of the school Is patient, caring and committed to supporting pupil progress Communicates clearly and build positive relationships with children and colleagues Is dedicated to working as part of our school team, and as part of the wider Trust, promoting both the school and Trust's visions and values Demonstrates good organisational skills and reliability Has an understanding of safeguarding and child protection Why Work at Embsay Church of England Primary School: At Embsay, we offer: A welcomin
