Supportive team of 2 Music Specialists and 8 visiting peripatetic teachers Excellent record of GCSE results. Music is taught discretely throughout KS3 in year 7 and 8 as a part of the Creative Arts department and GCSE classes in all KS4 years. A well-equipped department with 3 dedicated Music rooms, one of which is a Digital Media Suite equipped with computers using logic pro and sibelius. We have 3 practice rooms as well as a recording studio which is used to record students' GCSE performances. Creative Arts Faculty is attached to The Berry Theatre which offers our students fantastic opportunities to perform on stage throughout the year. Engaging and varied schemes of work taught at KS3, which are regularly refined to provide an engaging and stimulating learning environment. All schemes are carefully planned to prepare students for GCSE at year 9. Opportunities to develop CPD through curriculum meetings and workshops with the team as well as whole school twilights. An extensive co-curricular programme, which offers a plethora of opportunities for all in our school community; from various Choirs, to Rock Band, Ukelele club and Busking sites.
