We have an exciting opportunity to join our specialist team of staff supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues. This role is based at our Weston-super-Mare site and will suit an English Specialist with experience of working up to GCSE standard, who can also teach across other subjects.

Lime Hills is a rapidly progressing and expanding special school for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties in years 5-16.β€― The successful candidate will act as both pastoral and curriculum keyworker for a small group of young people delivering a range of subject content and skills. We are looking for candidates with a breadth of experience of working with young people, who are enthusiastic, resilient, highly motivated and are passionate about inclusive education.

About you:

You will be:

a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification.

able to deliver the curriculum in your chosen area and consistently teach high quality lessons across relevant key stages.

able to meet the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.

a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change, motivate colleagues and build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

able to recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning.

empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others.

highly competent in all elements of the Teachers’ Standards and your achievements and contribution will be substantial and sustained as an Upper Pay Scale teacher.

About Lime Hills Academy:

Lime Hills Academy is a special school for young people in years 5-16 who have an EHCP to support their SEMH needs. We will soon be moving into our new build in Churchill, but as a temporary arrangement, we have been supported by the DfE and CLF to deliver our provision across two sites: a secondary site in Weston and a primary site in Nailsea.
