CWA Austen is a unique co-educational, all-through school for up to 128 pupils aged 5-16 with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). The Role As Deputy Support Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping positive behavioural outcomes across the school. You will lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of behaviour strategies, working closely with staff, students and families. Key responsibilities include: Leading and embedding effective behaviour management strategies across the school Supporting and coaching staff to build confidence in managing behaviour Planning and delivering targeted interventions for individual students and groups Managing behaviour systems, including CPOMS recording, monitoring and reporting Leading post-incident reviews and ensuring robust follow-up processes Developing and maintaining strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies Overseeing and developing the behaviour support team Delivering training, including becoming a General Services (GSA) Tutor Promoting a safe, structured and nurturing environment for all students You will also contribute to whole-school improvement, ensuring behaviour systems are consistent, effective and aligned with best practice in ASC and SEMH provision.
