Honley CofE (VC) Junior, Infant and Nursery School · Holmfirth, Yorkshire and the Humber
At Honley Junior, Infant and Nursery School, our school vision “Love for Learning and Learning for Life. Life in all its fullness” (John 10:10) is at the heart of everything we do. Rooted in our Christian values of respect, trust, resilience, responsibility and kindness, we are a learning community where we work and achieve together. In January 2026 we announced our intention to become part of Trinity Multi Academy Trust. Trinity is a growing and respected trust currently comprising of 11 academies, spanning primary to post-16 education and they have a strong and proud track record of helping schools to make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of young people. It’s an exciting time to be part of Honley JI&N as we enter this new chapter. Honley is a school currently across two sites, originally an Infant and Junior site, with a Daycare and Out of School Club, offering full wrap around care from the age of 2. The school wishes to appoint a highly skilled Headteacher to lead our happy and hardworking team. As Headteacher, they will work closely with governors to set the school’s future strategic direction and, in doing so, will demonstrate their commitment to pursuing excellence in every aspect of the life of the school. They will also lead the transition to join Trinity Multi-Academy Trust. The school is proud of its achievements and is determined to build upon its existing high standards of teaching and learning in the future. Governors are looking to appoint a Headteacher who can demonstrate: * Excellent leadership knowledge and skills, especially in a complex multi-site environment; * A clear vision for enriching the school’s distinctive Christian ethos; * The ability and passion for continually raising educational standards; and * Willingness to build on our very well established links with the community of Honley. The Headteacher will be a leader who is passionate about teaching and learning, an individual who is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for pupils, and someone who will champion the interests of pupils, staff and the local community. You must have a strong work ethic, high expectations of yourself and others, and have the ability to lead and inspire staff and pupils in realising those expectations.
