About you:

At Weavers Academy, you will be an exceptional and inspiring Maths practitioner with a passion for driving excellence in teaching, learning and student outcomes. You will be committed to making a sustained difference not only within your own classroom, but across the Maths department and the wider school through impactful leadership and strategic intervention.

You will bring a strong track record of outstanding teaching alongside experience of developing colleagues and improving practice. With a deep understanding of curriculum design, assessment and the use of data, you will champion evidence-informed approaches that secure progress for all students, particularly those facing barriers to learning.

You will be highly skilled in identifying gaps in learning and implementing effective, whole-school intervention strategies that ensure every student can β€˜catch up and keep up’. A confident communicator, you will build strong relationships with colleagues, students and families, influencing others through coaching, collaboration and modelling best practice.

Resilient, reflective and forward-thinking, you will demonstrate a relentless commitment to high expectations, inclusion and continuous improvement, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Qualified and Expert Practitioner:Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes in Maths.

Strong Leadership and Coaching Experience:Experience of coaching, mentoring or supporting colleagues to improve teaching and learning practice across a department or wider school.

Intervention and Data Expertise:A strong understanding of assessment, data analysis and the design and implementation of targeted intervention strategies to address gaps in learning.

Curriculum and Pedagogical Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of Maths curriculum design, sequencing and evidence-informed teaching approaches that drive student progress.

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills:Able to build positive relationships and inspire confidence in colleagues, students and stakeholders.

Driven, Resilient and Reflective Leader:Demonstrates high expectations, adaptability, and a strong commitment to continuous professional growth and school improvement.

Commitment to Inclusion and Equity:Passionate about ensuring all students, including disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, have access to high-quality teaching and achieve their full potential.
