IT Manager Location: Hayes Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 & LGPS Reports to: Director of IT & Digital Strategy About Us: Our multi-academy trust is dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for young people, fostering inclusive learning environments, and nurturing a strong sense of community. With three schools under our care—Barnhill High School, Belmore Primary, and William Byrd Primary—our mission is to ensure every child has access to outstanding facilities that inspire success. The Role The IT Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, stability and standardisation of IT systems across the Trust, ensuring reliable, secure and consistent technology services that support teaching, learning and operational delivery. The role will act as the technical lead and escalation point, supporting the Director of IT & Digital Strategy in delivering a modern, cloud-first, standardised IT environment across all schools. The post holder will be accountable for: Ensuring reliable day-to-day operations across all schools Leading the technical delivery and standardisation of systems and infrastructure Acting as the primary escalation point for technical issues Supporting the development of a consistent Trust wide IT platform Contributing to the delivery of the Trust’s IT strategy and transformation roadmap Key Responsibilities Service Delivery & Support Oversee day-to-day IT support across all schools, ensuring a responsive and visible service Act as escalation point for complex incidents and problems Ensure effective use of IT helpdesk system, including: o Ticket management o Prioritisation o Resolution Tracking Maintain high levels of user satisfaction and minimise disruption to teaching and learning System & Infrastructure Management Lead the administration and development of: o Microsoft 365 o Microsoft Entra ID o Microsoft Intune Manage hybrid and cloud infrastructure, including: o Identity and access management o Device management and deployment o Network Infrastructure (Switching, WiFi, VLANs) Ensure Systems are: o Secure o Patched o Standardised across all sites Standardisation & Improvement Drive standardisation of: o Devices o Systems o Processes Identify and resolve recurring technical issues at root cause Support the transition towards a cloud-first, centrally managed environment Security, Compliance & Safeguarding Ensure IT systems meet: o Cyber security standards o Data Protection (GDPR) o Safeguarding requirements Support: o Backup and Disaster recovery processes o Endpoint security monitoring Team Leadership Provide technical guidance and support to IT support staff Mentor and develop 1st line technicians Promote a customer-focused, professional IT support culture Planning & Projects Support delivery of IT projects and improvements across the Trust
