Skills and Experience Required
We are seeking a classroom teacher who demonstrates the following:
Teaching and Learning
Experience of delivering high-quality teaching in a primary setting, with secure subject and curriculum knowledge
Ability to plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that maintain pace and challenge
A strong understanding of how to promote pupil progress and achievement for all learners
High expectations for both learning and behaviour
Inclusion and Pupil Support
Experience of adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and additional needs
Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported and able to succeed
Understanding of how to identify barriers to learning and provide targeted support
Assessment and Progress
Experience of using assessment effectively to inform teaching and learning
Ability to track pupil progress and identify next steps
Confidence in providing clear, constructive feedback to support improvement
Behaviour and Classroom Management
Strong behaviour management skills, including the ability to establish clear routines and expectations
Ability to create a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment
Experience of promoting positive relationships and consistent standards of conduct
Professional Collaboration
Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and external agencies
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and carers
Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and extracurricular activities
Professional Development and Reflection
Commitment to continuous professional development and improving practice
Ability to reflect on teaching and respond positively to feedback
Awareness of current educational research and developments
