Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
Actual Annual Salary: £22,185 - £24,203 based on hours and weeks worked.
Full Time Equivalent Salary: CLF Grade D (£31,954 - £34,860) based on full time, all year round.
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only plus inset days
Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week, Working 4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30–16:30)

We are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Level 3 to complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for developing and delivering agreed learning activities under an appropriate system of supervision.
In this HLTA role at The Nest - Snowdon Village, you will take a leading role in the delivery of high‑quality learning experiences. This includes planning and delivering structured learning activities, HLTA‑level teaching expectations, delivering lessons and interventions to small groups, and providing targeted support that enables learners to access the curriculum and make strong progress. You will play a key part in driving forward effective provision within Nest by modelling excellent practice, using specialist strategies and adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs.
You will support students in accessing the curriculum, engaging with their learning and achieving their full potential by employing relevant strategies and techniques developed as a result of significant experience, specialist knowledge, skill and expertise. You will deliver targeted interventions, contribute to assessment and progress monitoring, and work closely with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every learner.

Have an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and how a teaching assistant supports students in their learning.
Be able to engage students and manage behaviour on a one to one or small group basis.
Be committed to undertake relevant qualifications, e.g. relevant NVQ Level 2/ 3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent, first aid qualification, to ensure ongoing professional development.
