Associate Tutor Contract: Permanent Hours: 32.5 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week) Working Pattern: 8.45am - 3.30pm Mon, Tues & Thurs, 8.45am - 4.30pm on Weds. 8.45am - 2.55pm on Fridays. Your role: As an Associate Tutor, you’ll work closely with teachers and specialists to support secondary‑aged students who benefit from an alternative provision setting. You’ll build strong relationships, guide learning in the classroom, deliver tailored interventions and help maintain a positive, safe and engaging environment. With a calm approach to behaviour and an understanding of SEND or SEMH needs, you’ll help students overcome barriers and move forward with confidence. You will also take on the role of Group Coach, offering daily encouragement and pastoral support. To thrive in this role, you’ll bring excellent communication skills, the ability to support literacy and numeracy, confidence in positive behaviour management and a reflective approach to your own practice.
