About the role

Thank you for your interest in applying for the role of Head of MFL - Spanish at Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent. As the Head of MFL, the successful candidate will play a critical role in driving standards in the classroom so that practice is consistently exceptional. We are now looking for someone who can continue the development of Spanish into the next phase of its evolution.  Over time, the number of students opting for Spanish has increased and we want that to continue.   This is an opportunity for someone who could be an existing Head of MFL, or indeed, an aspiring leader in the subject.  Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is themselves a really effective teacher of the subject, and someone who thinks that they can use that to raise standards still further.  Whoever is appointed can expect a supportive and full induction to the role.  We have clear systems and processes in place for our middle leaders and so whether you are an experienced leader, or an aspiring one, the frameworks exist to help you have a really strong impact.
