Essential:
Strong
understanding of SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SpLD);
Proven ability to
adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs;
Experience of
working with or supporting students with EHCPs;
Strong
interpersonal and collaborative skills;
The ability to motivate students and achieve
excellent results;
Excellent organisational and ICT skills;
The capacity to work collaboratively as part
of a team;
Desirable:
Qualified Teacher
Status (QTS);
Experience
working with students with SEN in a secondary setting;
Experience
working with students in a specialist setting or;
Experience
teaching in KS1 and/or KS2 with a strong understanding of foundational
literacy and numeracy development, and an ability to transfer this to
support students accessing the secondary curriculum;
Experience
delivering targeted interventions (e.g. literacy/numeracy catch-up);
Knowledge of
current SEND Code of Practice.
