An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual with proven leadership experience to join our Trust as Headteacher of Wren Spinney School. This is a fantastic, challenging, but above all rewarding opportunity to support some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. Wren Spinney supports 98 students with a range of learning needs including severe, complex, profound & multiple learning difficulties, and the majority of whom will have additional needs such as sensory difficulties or autism. Wren Spinney is an Equals Exemplar school for its curriculum, and therefore you will have proven success of leading learning and teaching to improve outcomes for all and will understand the importance of developing your teams as well as fostering excellent relationships with stakeholders, having demonstrable evidence of inspiring your colleagues and leading effective collaborations. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working closely with our Director of Education, you will be responsible for the safeguarding, the curriculum, learning and teaching, student progress and achievement, and ensuring the effective day to day operation of the school through leading your team and managing resources effectively and efficiently. You will have operational management of the budget and responsibility for all staff at the school. You will support the Trust to create a culture of high expectation, self-evaluation and constant improvement. In return you will be supported by colleagues across the Trust; from our other schools and college, as well as the shared services team who manage the business services so you can focus on developing the unique culture of your school.
