About the Role
Winston
Way Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to
play a key role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and
achieve positive outcomes.
You
will work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals to
promote positive behaviour, deliver targeted interventions, and build a
supportive and inclusive school environment.

Key
Responsibilities
Provide targeted support to pupils with challenging behaviour (1:1,
small group, and whole class) Develop and implement individual behaviour plans Lead behaviour interventions and monitor their impact and effectiveness Support the reintegration of pupils following suspension or absence Coach and mentor pupils to improve behaviour, attendance, and engagement Train and support staff in effective behaviour management strategies Work collaboratively with parents/carers and external agencies (e.g.
CAMHS, social services) Track behaviour data and contribute to school improvement initiatives Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and
wellbeing of all pupils
About You

Has experience working with children or young people with challenging
behaviour Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Is confident delivering interventions and training staff Understands safeguarding, behaviour strategies, and pupil support
frameworks Is organised, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
