Dorridge Primary School, a large three form entry, community Primary school, would like to appoint a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to join their SEND team. We are seeking a calm, compassionate and resilient 1:1 Teaching & Learning Support Assistant to work with a KS1 pupil with severe learning difficulties relating to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a pupil to access learning, regulate emotions, build confidence and develop positive relationships, working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and understands how anxiety and neurodiversity can impact learning and behaviour. Contract: Fixed Term (this role is attached to a specific child and will end when the child leaves the school), term time (39 weeks per year) Hours: 32.5 hours per week, across Monday - Friday. 8.30am - 3.30pm and includes a 30-minute unpaidlunch break Salary: Band C Β£26,824 - Β£29,540 full time equivalent per year. Actual salary for 32.5 hours, term time Β£20,198 - Β£22,243 per year. Main duties and responsibilities (a full Job Description and Person Specification are available): To supervise the activities of the child inside and outside the classroom To provide care, attend to the childβs personal needs and undertake activities necessary to meet the physical, emotional and educational requirements of individual child.
