Working closely with teaching staff, the SENDCo and Literacy Lead, you will support students with lower reading ages, including those with SEND, through targeted interventions and in-class support. About the role You will: Deliver literacy and reading interventions to individuals and small groups Support students in developing reading fluency, comprehension and vocabulary Help students overcome literacy barriers to learning across the curriculum Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning resources and strategies Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff and leaders Promote a positive reading culture and encourage engagement with reading Support students with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who: Has GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above Has experience working with children or young people aged 11-16 Is passionate about reading, literacy and inclusion Can build positive relationships with students and motivate learners Has strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills Understands strategies to support literacy development and reading intervention Is patient, resilient and committed to helping every student succeed Is willing to engage in ongoing professional development What We Offer At Kingsway Park and the Altus Education Partnership, we are deeply committed to developing our staff and supporting long-term careers.
