Fringe Start Date: September 2026 Rickmansworth School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our enthusiastic team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students in their scientific journey, helping them develop a deep understanding of the subject and achieve their full potential. As a Science Teacher at our school, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (preferably chemistry and physics), contributing to the overall success of the department and the school. About the Science Department: The department consists of twelve experienced members, fostering a strong and collaborative team atmosphere. We work closely together to support and enhance each other's practice while sharing expertise. The department is supported by three technicians who work alongside teaching staff to ensure a stimulating practical curriculum which inspires our students. We offer a variety of extracurricular opportunities, including a Key Stage 3 Science Club, STEM initiatives, and subject-specific Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 study clubs. Separate Science is a particularly popular option at GCSE, with seven Key Stage 4 classes. Within the Sixth Form approximately 150 students study science subjects at A-Level. The ability to teach up to and including Key Stage 5 is highly desirable. Must have or be working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), applications from ECTβs are welcome.
