Teacher of English About the Role Beamont Collegiate Academy is seeking a highly motivated and inspirational Teacher of English to join our vibrant and high-performing academy. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a strong English department in a popular and oversubscribed 11-16 academy, judged 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2022. The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, working alongside a team of experienced subject specialists. This role is ideal for someone with drive, passion, and commitment, and is suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced educators. The position is full-time and permanent, with the option for part-time hours. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in English, inspiring students to achieve their full potential. Plan and teach well-structured lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. Promote good progress and outcomes by students, using data to inform planning and interventions. Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge, fostering a love of learning. Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including extra-curricular activities. Uphold the academy’s values and ethos, promoting high expectations and aspirations. Requirements A good degree from a recognised university and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Strong knowledge of pedagogical approaches and up-to-date curriculum expertise. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A passion for English and the ability to inspire and motivate students. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working as part of a team. Benefits Competitive salary on the Teacher Main Scale 1 to UPS 3 (£32,916 - £51,048).
