At
the core of the English curriculum is the belief that every student has the potential
to succeed. The teams review and revise the delivery of the curriculum in
response to student voice, work scans, lesson observations. We are led by research and are continuously
striving to improve to give our students the very best chance of achieving
their best.
Year
7 to Year 11 are taught in ability groups and classes are set according to
ability to support adaptive teaching and provide appropriate challenge and
support for all.
The
team employ the appropriate use of new technologies to support learning.
We
pride ourselves on our enrichment opportunities for all students including
well-established trips across both departments.
Continued
professional development is strong within the English team, with a CPD period
on every teacherβs timetable.
