HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT BUDE PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL Grade & Scale point: 8, SCP 25-28 Salary: Β£36,363 - Β£39,152 FTE, Β£27,805 - Β£29,937 Actual, Β£18.85- Β£20.29/hr Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week, Monday β Friday 8.30am β 3.30pm Contract: Permanent, Term time + 5 days (195 days/year) Start date: 1 September 2026 This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant with experience working with children in a primary or specialist school setting.

β’ Deliver learning activities to pupils within agreed system of supervision, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs
β’ Plan challenging teaching and learning objectives to evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate
β’ Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-reliance
β’ Work within an established discipline policy to anticipate and manage behaviour constructively, promoting self-control and independence
β’ Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education / Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
β’ GCSE English and Maths Grade A-C (or Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent)
β’ HLTA status (or QTS)
β’ Understanding of National Curriculum, EYFS Guidance and other codes of practice e.g. SEN, Equalities, Safeguarding
β’ Effective use of ICT to support teaching and learning
