HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT BUDE PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL Grade & Scale point:    8, SCP 25-28 Salary:                            Β£36,363 - Β£39,152 FTE, Β£27,805 - Β£29,937 Actual, Β£18.85- Β£20.29/hr Hours of work:              32.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm Contract:                        Permanent, Term time + 5 days (195 days/year) Start date:                      1 September 2026 This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant with experience working with children in a primary or specialist school setting.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HLTA who is a confident and effective classroom practitioner. The successful candidate will be highly committed and talented, ready to take the next step in their career. With a proven ability to support and enhance the quality of teaching, and to raise outcomes for pupils, they will serve as a positive role model for both staff and children.

Bude Park Primary is a small, welcoming school in the north of Hull, serving 306 pupils aged 3–11. Rated β€˜Good’ by Ofsted, we take pride in providing a safe, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to develop the confidence to reach their full potential. JOB REQUIREMENTS

β€’ Deliver learning activities to pupils within agreed system of supervision, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs

β€’ Plan challenging teaching and learning objectives to evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate

β€’ Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-reliance

β€’ Work within an established discipline policy to anticipate and manage behaviour constructively, promoting self-control and independence

β€’ Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education / Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

β€’ GCSE English and Maths Grade A-C (or Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent)

β€’ HLTA status (or QTS)

β€’ Understanding of National Curriculum, EYFS Guidance and other codes of practice e.g. SEN, Equalities, Safeguarding

β€’ Effective use of ICT to support teaching and learning

β€’ Ability to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners/colleagues and children and young people. AS A MEMBER OF HUMBER EDUCATION TRUST, WE OFFER:
