Cross Curricular Teacher Salary: MPS/UPS Contract: Full Time - Fixed Term Contract till 31/08/2027 Start date: September 2026 About the Role Consilium Evolve is seeking to appoint a passionate, adaptable, and committed Cross Curricular Teacher to join our Alternative Provision Academy, supporting secondary students who experience emotionally based school avoidance. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people by delivering engaging, meaningful learning across a range of subjects, with particular strength in core curriculum areas. The successful candidate will be a dynamic classroom practitioner with a flexible and creative approach to curriculum delivery. You will play a key role in delivering a bespoke, cross-curricular curriculum using approaches such as project-based and expeditionary learning, helping students to re-engage with education and achieve both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities The Cross Curricular Teacher will: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality, differentiated lessons Create a structured, supportive, and nurturing learning environment, particularly for students with SEMH and trauma-related needs Contribute to the design and delivery of a bespoke cross-curricular curriculum Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external agencies Contribute to the wider development and improvement of the school Deliver pastoral support, including CREW and personal development sessions Promote a strong culture of safeguarding and inclusion Supporting Students and Families You will build strong relationships with parents/carers, work closely with the SENDCo and external agencies, and contribute to a multi-agency approach to support students’ educational, emotional, and social development. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status Experience teaching across the secondary curriculum (core subjects desirable) Strong knowledge of SEMH, SEND, and trauma-informed approaches Excellent classroom practice and the ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs Strong communication and relationship-building skills A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and student wellbeing A reflective approach and commitment to professional development Why Join Consilium Academies?
