We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Chemistry to join our Science Faculty from September. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), fostering curiosity, critical thinking and a love of science. You will play a key role in raising attainment, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the wider life of the academy. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in Chemistry that inspire students and secure excellent outcomes. Contribute to the development and refinement of the science curriculum. Assess, track and monitor pupil progress, implementing interventions where required. Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment. Participate in departmental and whole‑school CPD, meetings and initiatives. Support and contribute to the wider ethos, activities and values of Longsands Academy. What We’re Looking For A qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
