About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Citizenship Teacher to deliver high-quality and engaging lessons. You will inspire pupils to think critically about democracy, law, human rights and society, helping them develop into informed, respectful and active citizens. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential. The role includes delivering well-planned lessons, using effective assessment to drive progress and promoting debate, discussion and independent thinking. You will also contribute to the wider life of the academy through enrichment, pastoral support and wider school activities, while modelling the values and ethos of the Trust. What we are looking for We are looking for a passionate and committed Citizenship teacher with a relevant degree (or equivalent qualification) and Qualified Teacher Status. You will have experience of teaching citizenship or related humanities subjects and a strong understanding of how to engage and inspire pupils of all abilities. You will be confident in delivering well-structured and inclusive lessons, managing classrooms effectively, and using assessment to support pupil progress. You will be able to create a positive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to think critically, participate in discussion and develop as respectful and informed citizens. We are seeking someone who works collaboratively as part of a team, contributes positively to the wider life of the academy, and is committed to maintaining high expectations and inclusive practice.
