Philip Morant School and College was judged as βGoodβ in all areas by Ofsted in September 2023. We are looking for a Teacher of Technology who can be a key part in our ongoing improvement journey. The technology department has been recently refurbished with three food rooms, a new purpose built multi use room, four workshops and a computer room shared across the department. Computing is delivered in specialist rooms with access to software required for the delivery of the curriculum. We offer KS4 qualifications in Graphic Design, Product Design, Engineering and Hospitality and Catering. At KS5 we offer A level Product Design. We are looking for someone who can play a key part in achieving outstanding outcomes and progressing the subjects to delivery at key stage 5 as part of our Sigma Sixth provision. A Day in the Life: You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas: Teaching classes of KS3 to KS4 in Technology Preparing lessons and materials for your classes and to support the department Working with the department on moderation and assessment What We're Looking For: You are the perfect fit for our team if you have: Ability to teach "outstanding" lessons in Technology Ability to deliver a high quality broad and balanced curriculum A proven track record in monitoring and improving student attainment A passion for teaching within the curriculum area and making a real difference to young people Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
