Primary Teacher

Job Title: Primary Teacher Location: Esteem North Academy - Chesterfield Grade/Scale: Teacher Pay Scale - MPS / UPS plus SEN 1 allowance (£2,786 per annum) Contract: 32.5 hours per week, all year round to work term time We are looking to recruit an experienced and inspiring Primary Teacher to join our academy - are we looking for you? Can you teach with energy, enthusiasm and sparkle to inspire your colleagues and engage SEND children? Would you like to be able to have some more freedom and creativity with your teaching style and delivery in the classroom? Are you able to maintain resilience and entertain pupils all day, every day? Is it you we are looking for? The staffing team is small compared to a mainstream school and classes will be small and may have up to 6 pupils in each. This post will suit an experienced Primary Teacher who is willing to be flexible to meet the needs of the pupils and the academy. We review our offer depending on pupil numbers and their needs, and we make frequent changes to ensure that the site can meet the needs of the pupils that are on roll. We welcome applications from candidates who are able to teach engaging and adaptive lessons to challenging and disengaged SEND pupils. Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting. An affinity for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding opportunity. Applicants should be resilient, have high expectations, and a sense of humour. You must be able to build positive relationships with our pupils and think outside of the box. You will be responsible for contributing to a small staffing team to ensure that the site runs smoothly. A growth mindset and positive ethos are essential characteristics that we are looking for.
