Food Technology Technician Start date: June 2026 Grade/Salary: Single Status Grade 4, Points 9-10 (£25,185 - £25,583 full time equivalent). Starting point 9, actual salary: £17,936 Contract: Permanent, full time or part time considered, term time only Hours: 30 hours per week We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Technician to join our supportive secondary school team. This vital role will support the delivery of engaging and high‑quality food and nutrition lessons, ensuring a safe, well‑organised and stimulating learning environment for students. The successful candidate will play a key part in preparing practical lessons, managing resources, and helping students develop essential life skills in a busy and creative department. Uplands is situated in Wadhurst, a small, rural town in East Sussex with traditional, independent shops in a warm and friendly local community. Wadhurst is close to Royal Tunbridge Wells which is approximately seven miles north with its bustling shopping centre, iconic landmarks and thriving social scene and fascinating architecture. Alot of our staff commute to us from a variety of places such as the south coast including Hastings and Eastbourne together with other locations across Kent and Sussex.
