About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 1 (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Grange School. This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is Β£22,004 and the full time equivalent is Β£25,583 Grade 3. About the role:As a Teaching Assistant Level 1 SEN, you will work under the supervision of teaching staff and the senior leadership team to support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development. You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils to become happy, confident and successful young adults. Key responsibilities include: Supporting small groups of children and implementing Individual Learning Plans Assisting with supervision during teacher absence (short periods) Providing feedback on pupil progress and maintaining records Ensuring equal access to learning for all pupils Participating in relevant training and development Demonstrating commitment to performance management and continuous improvement Communicating effectively and professionally with pupils, staff, parents, and external agencies We're Looking for applicants who: Have an understanding of the Teaching Assistant role and child development and learning Possesses strong literacy and numeracy skills (qualified to Level 2 or above) Works effectively as part of a team and is committed to high professional standards Is tactful, diplomatic, and able to build positive relationships with all stakeholders Has experience or a keen interest in working with children or young people with communication difficulties, severe, profound, or complex learning needs Can communicate clearly and confidently in spoken English How to Apply Please follow the online application process to be considered.
