Cleaner Contract Type: Fixed term initially until 17 July 2026. Pay Grade: Grade C3 Full Time Salary: £24,796 Actual Salary: £5,905.67 Hours: 10 hours over 5 days per week, 40 weeks per year. Starting: ASAP We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional cleaner to join the St James team! Some who understands the important of a clean and tidy environment for our children to flourish. At St James relationships and inclusion are a central strength in our school. Our relationships are based on our core value of Respect, using the language of Emotion Coaching in every interaction. We also have a large Pastoral Team that provides support to children and families across a wide range of wellbeing and safeguarding issues. Including our two specialist units that support our most vulnerable learners and highly skilled staff who support children to flourish. We are looking to appoint someone who: Is enthusiastic, approachable and friendly will ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn, will create a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment understands how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy. is supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school. understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct. who is prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training. understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare - both at home and in school.
