The Role To plan, deliver and assess high-quality teaching and learning for a primary school class, ensuring all pupils are supported to achieve their full academic, social, and emotional potential in a safe and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, skilfully adapted lessons in line with the national curriculum Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policies Establish clear routines and expectations Apply secure understanding of age-appropriate assessment strategies to track and accelerate progress Work effectively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and leadership staff Communicate regularly with parents/carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events Support the personal, social, and emotional development of pupils Act as a role model for pupils in behaviour and attitude Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children Person Specification Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum Excellent classroom management skills Energy, positivity, enthusiasm and ability to inspire and motivate learners Highly effective organisational and communication skills Creativity in supporting and delivering engaging learning experiences for all. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
