Priestlands School ยท Lymington, South East
Priestlands is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor from the start of the new Academic year. The post will appeal to someone who has an interest in teaching and a passion to help students succeed. It will require an innovative approach so that students can gain access to the work set and complete it within the time allowed when their usual teacher is unavailable. You will need to have a good sense of discipline (firm but fair) but a non-confrontational approach to the students is essential. Previous experience of working with young people in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential as induction and training will be provided. However, the post will best suit someone who is naturally comfortable in the presence of young people. The post is for a total of 32.5 hours per week, 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday which includes an unpaid 30 minute break and a 30 minute paid break duty. Benefits of working at Priestlands include: Free on-site car park Two week Autumn half term Free and confidential Employee Assistance programme offering advice on a range of areas including well-being, housing and financial matters Access to the largest UK online GP service - Livi Eligible for reduced rate membership at NFDC leisure centres Access to Bi-annual free sight tests and a contribution to the cost of glasses Generous employer contribution into the Local Government Pension Scheme Friendly and sociable colleagues; the wellbeing group organise theatre trips, quizzes and bingo to name a few activities!
