About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Manager to join our team in the new Academic year, term time only. The successful candidate will have experience of working with students, and have tried and tested methods to enable them to succeed, especially in times of difficulty - this is when the students will need you most. Working closely with the Head of Year, wider pastoral team, parents and at times, outside agencies, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be methodical in your approach to record keeping and have the ability to stay calm under pressure, regardless of the circumstances. You will receive your salary in 12 equal payments. The post is for 38 working weeks per year (term time only), but you will be paid for 43.60 weeks of the year to include holiday pay. References will be usually taken up prior to interview; if you currently work in a school, please ensure one of your references is from your current Headteacher. You will be required to provide appropriate evidence of identity and qualifications to support other pre-employment checks which will be undertaken on the successful candidate for this role, including: your right to work in the UK, a confidential health declaration, an online search of your name in line with government guidance on Keeping Children Safe in Education, and a DBS application.
