This role is ideal for an ECT who is eager to develop their practice within an ambitious, well‑resourced and highly successful English Faculty, supported by high‑quality mentoring and a collaborative professional culture. This is an excellent career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to a knowledge-rich English curriculum, built around challenging, high-quality literature – aligning with the work of practitioners such as Christine Counsell and David Didau. You will be joining an incredibly hard-working and passionate team and will work with dynamic and supportive management. The English faculty is also a high performing team; in August 2023, the faculty celebrated 100% A*-C at A level and 91% Grade 4+ at GCSE level. The team works collaboratively to continue to raise attainment but also provide the powerful knowledge our students need to be effective scholars of the subject discipline, fostering a love of language and literature.
