Teacher of English with Responsibility for Key Stage 5

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, passionate, and highly effective Teacher of English to join our successful and supportive English department. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner to take on a key role within the school, with responsibility for leading Key Stage 5 English. There is also the opportunity for the right candidate to lead whole-school literacy whilst the current postholder is on maternity leave. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a strong track record of delivering excellent outcomes. They will have the expertise and enthusiasm to lead our A Level provision which compromises two A Level subjects - English Language and English Literature - ensuring a high-quality, engaging curriculum that enables all students to thrive and succeed. In addition, the role offers the opportunity to shape and lead a whole-school literacy strategy, working collaboratively with colleagues across departments to promote high standards of reading, writing, and oracy.
