Job Description and Person Specification Summary At St Alban's Catholic Primary School, we are seeking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join our skilled and hardworking team. The successful candidate will: be passionate about delivering high-quality education; have a flexible 'can-do-' attitude; have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; be able to form positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues; be supportive of the school's Catholic ethos. The successful candidate will have the following key skills, experience and qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience; fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document; a sound understanding of Part four of the DfE's Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance and SEND Code of Practice; a genuine desire to involve yourself fully in the life of our school and to work as part of our forward-thinking team of professionals. The post you are applying for is classed as having a high degree of contact with children and involves "regulated activity." As such it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All post holders are subject to the necessary pre-employment check, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, including a Child's Barred List check (where applicable to the role in question).
