About the role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team in a busy secondary school. This is a part-time position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing excellent food service to students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and drinks

Setting up and clearing dining areas

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Washing utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment

Supporting the catering team during busy lunch periods

Following food safety and health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

Understanding of food hygiene standards

Reliable, punctual, and professional manner
