Sandhills Community Primary School · Oxford, South East
At Sandhills, we believe the learning and laughter shouldn't stop at 3:15pm. As our Playworker, you aren't just supervising; you are the curator of curious moments. Whether you’re reading a book, being a dinosaur or encouraging the next generation of olympians, you will provide the safe, happy space our students need to wind down and flourish. What you’ll bring: An enthusiastic outlook: You’re ready to dive into creative play, from arts and crafts to outdoor games. Warmth and Care: You understand that after a long school day, children need a friendly face and a listening ear. Reliability: You’re the steady presence our parents and children count on every afternoon. Safety First: You’ll naturally keep our safeguarding standards high while the children are busy having fun. Team Player: You’ll work happily alongside our school team to keep the club running smoothly. About Our School Sandhills Community Primary School is a friendly and welcoming school, serving a diverse and vibrant community on the outskirts of Oxford city centre. Through a focus on our values of Respect, Relationships, Responsibility and Resilience, we encourage everyone in our school community to work hard and care for each other. By creating a positive learning environment and delivering an engaging curriculum, we aim to provide the conditions in which all our pupils can succeed, both academically and as citizens of the future. Sandhills has a hard-working, supportive and friendly team of staff. Our pupils are curious and enthusiastic to learn. They are proud of their school and enjoy being part of this welcoming community. Sandhills offers a fantastic working environment with great indoor and outdoor facilities including a large sports field, an amphitheatre and extensive wild area. Our school community extends to highly supportive families, Governing Body and PTA. Sandhills is also part of an extensive professional network across the River Learning Trust, which encourages collaboration, research and learning for all pupils, teachers and parents in the school community. Education has the power to change lives, communities and society for the better. At RLT we believe that we can achieve more for our pupils, trainees, staff and communities by working together rather than alone. Schools in RLT are united by a common belief in the benefits of working together, and by our commitment to shared principles. OUR VISION is for our schools and SCITT to improve rapidly, continuously and sustainably: to be better faster together. OUR ‘WHY?’ is that children and young people ‘only get one go’ in school and therefore as part of RLT we aim to ensure the best possible ‘go’ for our pupils. OUR ‘HOW?’ is through the highest support and challenge for our schools and each other, underpinned by our principles. Our employees benefit from a wide variety of support including extensive continuing professional learning and development opportunities, wellbeing and staff networks
