Reporting to the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor, each Lunchtime Supervisor is responsible to the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor for the effective supervision of the children in and about the premises of the Academy during the midday break (11.30-1.30pm). The Lunchtime Supervisors will work together as a team sharing responsibility for effective supervision of children during the lunchtime period. The team will agree the necessary duties and rotas required to ensure adequate supervision. Where issues arise, which cannot be resolved or agreed by the team the matter shall be brought to the attention of the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor or Principal who will make a decision and act accordingly. The Lunchtime Supervisor shall work a number of hours determined by the Principal and specified within their contract of employment. This will normally be 2 hours per day. Duties To set up hall for lunchtime at start of shift and after lunch service put away tables, clean area and ensure hall is tidy at the end of lunchtime. To supervise children in the lunchtime period (11.45- 1.15 pm) in the dining area, play areas and Academy premises, on a rota basis. To help children get their food, find a place to sit and eat their food in a comfortable, clean and friendly environment. To engage and interact with children in an appropriate and purposeful playtime activity on the playground, or the classroom if circumstances dictate. To assist the kitchen staff in clearing the dining area for the afternoon teaching session. To cooperate and communicate with the other Lunchtime Supervisors so that rotas and duties are fairl
