About the Role We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role will involve supporting children across the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences and ensure all children are fully supported. Whether you are supporting the whole class, working with small groups, or delivering 1:1 support for children with additional needs, your role will be crucial in helping every child feel safe, happy, and able to achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities Provide cover for teaching staff, including leading class teaching (under supervision), PPA cover, short-term cover for the absence of other staff Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities (including whole-class teaching) under an agreed system of supervision. Assess and report on pupil progress across a range of curriculum areas, using various monitoring and evaluation methods. Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning, wellbeing, and personal development. Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. Maintain confidentiality, uphold safeguarding procedures, and model the schoolβs values in all interactions. We Are Looking For A highly skilled and confident practitioner, ideally HLTA-qualified or working towards HLTA status. Someone with experience delivering whole-class teaching under supervision, including for PPA and short-term cover.
