Key Stage 2/3 Class Teacher About the Role William Henry Smith Foundation is seeking a passionate, innovative and committed Key Stage 2/3 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team within a specialist SEMH setting. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner who is ready to inspire young people through curiosity-led, personalised and enriched learning. You will deliver high-quality teaching across KS2 and KS3, supporting children and young adults with social, emotional and mental health needs to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Teach across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, delivering engaging, inclusive and adaptive learning Deliver high-quality teaching in core and foundation subjects, including English, Maths, Science, Computing, Thermatic Learning, PSHE and RSHE Embed curiosity-led, project-based and experiential learning approaches Support SEMH children and young adults through trauma-informed, relationship-based and therapeutic practice Lead classroom teams effectively, working closely with teaching assistants and support staff Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform personalised learning pathways Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies Contribute to enrichment activities, educational visits and residential experiences Promote the school’s values of: Visionary Thinking, Compassionate Curiosity, Unwavering Integrity, Empowering Community, and Close Collaboration About You: We are looking for someone who: Is a qualified teacher with experience in KS2 and/or KS3 Has a strong understanding of SEMH needs and inclusive practice Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners Builds strong, positive relationships with children and young adults, staff and families Demonstrates creativity, resilience and adaptability Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Embraces a rights-respecting, child-centred and wellbeing-focused ethos  APPLICATION INFORMATION:   Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended 2013) Posts which involve substantial access to children are exempt from provisions contained within this Act under which the job applicants are entitled to withhold information about any previous criminal background which is either unspent or would otherwise be considered β€˜spent’ under the terms of the Act. However, changes to the legislation in 2013 mean that spent convictions may be protected and do not have to be disclosed to prospective employers. Employers cannot take protected offences into account when making employment decisions. If the job for which you have applied involves substantial access to children and you have been shortlisted for the post, you will be provided with a form on which you will be asked to disclose any relevant previous criminal back
