About the role We are seeking a reliable and skilled Teaching Assistant (Grade 6) to work closely with class teachers, the Inclusion Lead and senior leaders to support high-quality teaching and learning across the primary age range. This role offers a varied and highly rewarding remit including: Providing in-class support for whole-class and small-group learning and delivering targeted 1:1 interventions, including for pupils with EHC plans and SEMH needs. Supporting phonics, early maths and targeted interventions to help pupils make sustained progress. Promoting pupil independence, resilience and positive behaviour using agreed school strategies. Supporting pastoral needs, running restorative conversations and supervising pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes or off-site visits. Maintaining accurate intervention and behaviour records You will work flexibly across our setting to meet changing needs and help narrow attainment gaps for disadvantaged and SEND pupils. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. Experience or confidence in delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions, with a focus on phonics and early maths. Awareness of SEND strategies, EHC plan implementation and approaches to support SEMH needs. Good communication, accurate record-keeping and basic IT skills Patience, resilience, initiative and a positive approach that reflects our values.
